Very conveniently located
Tucked away on Aunt Peggy's Lane - a quaint narrow alley - Taylor House is away from the traffic and yet is close to the center of St George's Town. A grocery store, pharmacy, post office, Internet cafe and a selection of many restaurants are all within a few minutes walk. Equally close by are the tourist information office, the bus stop and a ferry stop. Three beaches offering excellent snorkelling and safety for children are within 15 minutes walk (See map).








Interior furnishings
There is a cosy living room with over-sized arm chairs and a loveseat/sofabed. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with an oven, refrigerator and small appliances such as a coffee maker, toaster and microwave oven. Pots, pans, cutlery, dinnerware and cooking utensils are all provided. The bathroom includes a tub with shower. Upstairs there is the main bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed, plenty of hanging space and a chest of drawers. Crib and high chair can be provided.

Amenities
The Bedroom and the living room are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans. There is cable TV, a CD player and radio, free wireless Internet access a DVD player, an iron and board and telephone with open line. Bath and beach towels are provided. Soap, toilet paper, paper towels, hair-dryer etc. are supplied. In the walled garden, there is a table with chairs and an umbrella making this an inviting setting for reading, dining, sunbathing and relaxing. Crib and high chair can be rented with advance notice.

Sleeping arrangements
In the upstairs bedroom there is a queen bed (shown in two photos with different bedspreads) and there is a twin bed. Downstairs in the living room there is a twin sofa bed.

Sandwiched between the guest apartment and the owner's apartment is a second bedroom which can be locked off from either direction. When the owner is not using it for family, it is available to rent with the guest apartment. It is never rented separately and usually remains vacant. It contains two single beds suitable for children. Please enquire about availability.

St. George's Town
Taylor House is located in the historic, port town of St. George's, which has changed little over the last two hundred years. When Hamilton supplanted St George's as Bermuda's capital, the old town was spared the pressures of development. Many of the buildings and houses, including Taylor House, have now had "preservation orders" placed on them to ensure the survival of their unique architectural character. Based on the town's great historical value and authenticity, the United Nations has recently awarded it a "World Heritage Site" status.

   Policies
- Smoking is NOT permitted indoors.
- Reservations are accepted upon receipt of a deposit
  equal approximately to one third of the total cost.
- There is a 30 day cancellation policy. Deposits which
   do qualify for a refund are subject to a $50 deduction
   to cover administrative costs and banking charges.
  (We recommend that you take out travel insurance to
  cover possible loss of a deposit).
- Balance is payable in Bermuda, preferably by cheque
  or cash, but Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
